Future feature thoughts

So I'm thinking since this site pretty much exists off the hard work of various musicians, at some point (maybe era-5) I'd start listing (like on the far right or something) links to buy the tune or the CD it came from, for each song, or at least ones that are readily buyable.

Does this sound nifty and how do I prevent people from getting the wrong idea from "BUY THIS SONG!"

I think it's a good idea.  Just add a "source" column or something that's a link to either the CD's information or a link to the CD to purchase.  I think either one at least shows the interested individual enough information to purchase one for themselves if they do enjoy it.

Last.fm has a feature sort of like that for buy album on itunes or whatever.  I know myself that I've learned about a lot of different music through playing stepfiles, and there are some artists I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be listening to if it were not for that fact.

Yeah, I just got to thinking about how we should be a bunch of people who appreciate music, not just steal it XD

If it wasn't for the people who make the songs, there'd be nothing to play, too.

I like this idea, I've spend hours tracking down weird songs/artists I found in simfiles. A quick link to a source would have been a time saver!

(Not speaking of the DA files, just simfiles in general)

I think we'd be promoting a good ideal - lesser known music gets purchased -> lesser known music gets more known and more money to the artist.

He's actually quite prolific too.  Like, every release has something that he's done.
