Title: Pimp Juice
Size: 16 oz
Price: $2.00
Taste: True to its name, juicy.  Unlike the "Juiced" versions of other energy drinks that seem to have the juice tacked on in a futile attempt to mask the taste of a mishmash of energy ingredients, Pimp Juice tastes like an actual juice.  To me, it tasted like a jazzed-up apple juice, with the best part being there is no carbonation to distract from the flavor.

Effect: Not as energizing as other energizing drinks, but extremely refreshing.  Despite the name, drinking this did not make me feel like a pimp.  Perhaps if I had added some gin...?  :kona:

Rating: 9.5/10

Pity I can't find this around here any more.  I'd like to try their new flavor "The Purple Label", which got drinkaddict.com 's highest score.

Pimp Juice is indeed tasty.

Also, according to the site, it stands for "Positive Intellectual Motivated Person", IIRC, which might explain something. Maybe?

That's what Overdrive is kind of like, the "Code Red" of AMP.
I wish they'd make a "Pitch Black" version of AMP.

Looks like I got my wish with AMP Traction, while Relaunch would be the Livewire AMP, and Elevate is um... whatever flavor it was that won Dewmocracy.. the blue one  :D

Speaking of Dewmocracy, I couldn't really tell the 3 flavors apart, since they all contained ginseng, and to my palette ginseng overpowers all other flavors.  I was kinda rooting for the red one though, just because I like strawberry and was hoping they'd refine the flavor so you could actually TASTE the strawberry through the ginseng.  Also it would've been  :awesome: to have soda called "Supernova"   ;)

Bleh, I hated the Super Nova MDew. I'll stick with the Voltage.

New Amps are awesome, although I could have sworn one of them tasted a lot like Monster's MIXXD.

I suppose that's nothing new, amp isn't made by Pepsi anyways; it's bottled by an independent company, so it wouldn't surprise me if there were multiple sodas sold by the same supplier.

I know Hansen's does Monster and like half of the other energy drinks. Maybe they sell to other companies?

Quite possible; back in the day, there were only about 4 flavors.

Pixy Stix
Orangish
Purpley Berry
Sonic Water

Since then, they have diversified.  I made my own energy drink once with vitamins, caffeine pills, sugar, and orange juice.  It was pretty tasty.

Fiji Water

Better than delicious, not so free.  Tastes like wet, but good wet.

I always wondered that, I never actually like bottled water any more than normal water, I just fill up the old bottles with tap water so I have something to drink throughout the day.

Yeah, always seemed the same to me. Just check the tap water safety in your region (look it up) to be sure, or use a filter (still cheaper than buying bottled water).

I suppose if someone managed to poison the water supply then bottled water has an advantage, but I drink exclusively soda and juice anyway so whatever.

I'm a water snob.  The water in our area has a bunch of chlorine and fluorine, so I can taste the difference between tap water and otherwise.  The idea of filling up the bottles and refrigerating them never got rid of the gas taste.

That said, Fiji water just has a... I dunno, fresher taste to it.  I suppose the same taste would pervade if you threw about .05 oz. of microsand and trace minerals in distilled water.

Yeah, Riverside water, no go. XP
I could tell the difference between  Fiji and Arrowhead. Water that tastes like nothing is best.

Generally that's true; I like distilled water generally better than other water, though it tends to hold the taste of the plastic that they put it in, and the whole fact that distilled water actually dehydrates you unless you eat something salty with it.

I love that we can have a conversation about water, and then go in a different direction completely if we want to.

Like bats for instance.  And open flames.

That's the problem I have with bottled water usually, I dislike that plastic-y taste. I love the fact that we can have a discussion about water and stay on topic. But I like bats, they're interesting, helpful, but tend to be averse to open flames.

Fiji water tends to dispel the taste, along with the water that they put in glass bottles.  Evian is really no better than the rest.  Coke and Pepsi's water offerings are pleh. (Aquafina is Pepsi's, Dasani Coke's)

That said, I usually drink whatever's cheapest at the store, ice mountain or poland spring or "SPARTA BRAND WATER"

Water is drinkable, unless those are some new names for flavors. Bat juice and Open Flame Energy. :awesome:

Anywho store brand water is good, I usually go for Costco's Kirkland. It tastes normal and it comes in large quantities.
