I think we have a thread of these somewheres around here, though I can't be certain.

If we didn't, we do now.

Also congrats HST *clap clap*

Hey, I wonder if HST knows about this thread.  :D

I think he's not posting for as long as possible to stay 573 :3

In that case let's set his postcount to 574

Hey, leave the bad attitude at the door.

Gotta agree with k// here, it may be a slightly silly reference to a game, but it's all in good fun and it's something that is enjoyed by the majority of people on this board. You don't like it you don't have to post in this thread, there are tons to go around.

Holy... Since why has my post count been higher than HST's?

I missed my 573'rd post  :(

There's also a lot of "# POSTS" threads around, which is almost a tradition by now.

Anyway, it's not a bad thread around here if I don't think it is.

Exactly, what k// says goes, it's not like on other forums where there are a bunch of people who can sorta debate what's acceptable or not. What k// says goes; The End.

It would be epic to lock the thread right now, but that's silly.

WE MUST HAVE MORE FUN IN THE MEAN TIME!

So, I redub this thread the DANCING TO KORS K thread.

Why lock my thread?! Oh well, I want to dance to Jewelry Days anyway  :awesomD

That picture was taken on my birthday! Well, if the date on there is right.

Also, how many degrees in a radian? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Not to mention the half-life of carbon-14.

The date probably is right, I know the dates don't change when I remove the items from my phone so... it should be right.

(http://kbbs.pestermom.com/gallery/418_08_06_09_2_48_50.JPG) Taken before the bus ride on a field trip, the Peter Pan bus number (out of like 10,000 across the state) was 573. Odd but yet awesome  :awesomD

wait, why is adj = 40.55?

Just in this case.

Post by: Imasock on 06-09-2009, 01:20
wait, why is adj = 40.55?

I assume you know that adj is short for adjacent, which is used in trigonometric functions for sides of triangles respective to the angle of reference.

This was taken during a group physics tutoring session.  I omitted the units at the time because everyone knew what we were talking about, so there was no need to write it up there.  This was a force/tension problem that was requiring the rotation of the XY axes in order to recalculate gravity given the horizontal and vertical forces gravity originally had on the object in question.  In this problem, we were given all the information required to work our way to an answer and to solve for the hypotenuse  (gravity in this case), except gravity was (obviously) not Earth's normal gravity, otherwise there would be no reason to solve for it.  In the image there, you see an answer in m/s, but gravity is an acceleration, which is some value in m/(s^2).

Part B of the problem gave some additional information, and we could then solve for the answer in m/(s^2), but that part of the problem was not necessary for my image's purpose so I didn't feel the need to photograph it, heh.

What about programming?  Follow there? :D
Title: LULZ 573
Post by: eternalomega on 06-10-2009, 13:07
Programming? About as much as theoretical quantum physics. I'm not good with the sciences, except for biology which I find interesting. I'm a writer and so the arts are what I find most interesting/understandable. HST is like my foil, he is both similar to me in some ways yet while he dominates the math/science fields I dominate the English fields.

Foiled again!
(x+y)(x-y)

I enjoy most subjects that are taught but gravitate towards thinking subjects, or subjects that I get paid money to think about XD

AHA icy, you win the double entendre prize for being the first to point out my little math joke.

PS Foil in literature is a character that has personality traits that are similar in some ways and wildly different in others to the (usually) protagonist, they serve the purpose of highlighting certain traits of the protagonist.

Do I win a cashier?  Gotta make it make money somehow.

Btw, the double entendre was only partially intended.  I love no pun intendeds.  They're so candid.  Something that a punchinello would say.
