Title: No more Akira Yamaoka
Post by: k//eternal on 12-02-2009, 17:44
This showed up about a week ago as a rumor, but now it's confirmed.

Kind of a shame, he had some really good tunes (even if they were ultra quirky).

Akira Yamaoka's not dead, I'm pretty sure that even though he doesn't work for Konami directly, they still could license his tracks if he chooses.

Edit - Injection of Love is still one of my favorite IIDX songs.  I love the unique sound, though the lyrics are kind of disturbing a bit.

Probably, although it's up in the air, seeing how Tatsh and TaQ just vanished from the scene.

Yeah but neither one were really big with other games and/or series like Akira is, and he's quite famous for his SH work.

I'm sure this isn't the last that we hear from him.  He might actually make an actual album that isn't an OST.

It'd be awesome if he formed a doujin group and then made the world implode because of DivideByZero Exception
