The numbers sure jumped a lot just now... pretty rough, but good workout.

Join in anytime! Don't do both in one day, though, alternate between the two so you're always doing something every day.

I actually prefer to do all my workouts one day and then the day of rest. My last PE/Health class taught that and I've never been able to shake the habit. Except for aerobics you do those everyday.

The reason they did that is so you don't do the same exercise on consecutive days, which is a bad idea. Whatever works, though, it's unlikely to make a huge difference.

Pushups yesterday: 7/9/5/5/10

I also learned that I almost can do a decent form regular pushup, otherwise, knees push ups are working dandy.

Been out for a few days at home, although I did some dumbbell exercises instead at the gym upstairs. Maybe I'll make a week a week and work on that on the extra day, who knows?

Push-ups will happen later.

Got a wooden floor here too, just use pushup bars if it's too rough on the hands, or get a mat.

If anyone's wondering what happened to this, I've been sick lately (and was even in the hospital today) so I figured it was better to lay off the exercise and focus on recovery.

I'm considering taking a detour into MAX-OT or 5x5 when I get better; these are styles of weightlifting which involve low reps and big weights (and are almost the same; a MAX-OT workout is 6 sets of 4 reps while 5x5 is, well, take a guess).

Incidentally there's another style called HST which purportedly involves gaining muscle without gaining strength (what) so basically you pile on a lot of weak muscle. Basically, look tough without being tough? A little bit strange if you ask me but I just mentioned it for the name.

Ouch, sorry to hear that you were sick to the point of hospital visit. I'm working on it but due to some school stuff I was entirely swamped and unable to do the exercise for a couple days so I started again and am making progress.
