Here's a little thread to vent about what various Bemani songs remind you of. I started this thread cause I realized that the song StrangeProgram sounded a lot to me like Osaka (from Azumanga Daioh) getting hyped up on caffeine. XD Also, neu sounds like the best Christmas ever, or twirling around in a snowstorm with a T-shirt and shorts on (I do that a lot, cause I'm weird.) So what do you think? What do some songs remind you of?

Well, nothing comes to my mind right away, but Strangeprogram is not bemani in origin, it's done by an artist named DJ Sharpnel.

I know that, but it was on this site. I kinda thought it would go, though. You know what I mean, right? xD

Sphere reminds me of Epic Anime Op.  Actually, half of the music could be anime music.

Trauma Center final stage music and Kingdom Hearts.

(This thread is now officially not only about Bemani songs.)

Well, I'd probably have left it that way if you'd had a Bemani song in the first post, but...

Also, Cypher Gate and Solid State Squad / Sexy Synth Solo.

FFX music... I do not wish to hear any of that music again X_X

My file has 130+ hours on it, I cleared the entire sphere grid and replaced it with maxed out spheres.  Untouchable, basically >_<

X-2 was a hilarious and awesome game and FF in general needs to take itself less seriously. Even if you weren't a fan of the campy storyline, the update of FF5's job system made for some of the best gameplay in the series.

Vox Up and the music from Ridge Racer.

Thank you! :D

+ considering that Shinji Hosoe makes music for Ridge Racer, it should, just Seiryu-fied. And with the video having cars in it and whatnot, you could consider it a shout out to the Ridge Racer franchise.

Well, I obviously know that's why they're similar, but that doesn't change the fact that they are.

Actually, a lot of the genre pieces are based on other popular ones from real music.  Example includes Vol.4 -> Popcorn-Aphex Twin

I heard Aphex was making a new album, instead of being his typical electronic music, its going to be all human sequencer tracks!  ;)

As far as the topic goes, uhm, G2 sounds like Trim and every other drum and bass song for the most part.  :awesomD

I heard Cex's last album, and it actually seems to be about the same, also with Venetian Snares, they seem to be going more toward the analogue side of recordings, but they are still masterful in mishmashing sounds in an artsy way.  It seems to be the way that Richard James's stuff is going too.  I'm not sure that I like it, but it's good background music.

Oh, come on.  G2 would need the "It's going down" drop if you wanted it to be like every DnB song ever. XD
