KBBS MINIGAME 01 - Lucky Seven

Starting up a new series of side contests that will have shorter time limits and smaller prizes, and generally be more luck-based.

Play any Anarchy 8-footer or higher on Heavy/Oni, pad or KB, MAX2 scoring, no Cmods. Whoever has the most 7s in their money score wins.

The prize is 777*(number of 7s) . If you have a max combo of 77 and win the contest, you get an additional 7777 .

Minigame ends 5/31.

Wow. This is actually quite hard.  8|
It's actually annoying to break a combo halfway because you're about to go over 77. And even more annoying when you come across a jump and it's on 76.  D:
After an hour of attempting stuff, and picking out random numbers (such as a 77% DP total and having 78.9%, 77 combo and four 9s), I finally managed to come up with something decent.


77 combo, three 7's.

Yea, same, only two 7's.  Didn't have a 77 combo, though (only 73); however, I wasn't really trying either.

(Sucks that the 77% DP doesn't count, since I had 77.5%.  But then again, I wasn't really trying.)

EDIT: After a little effort, managed to get 3 sevens, with 77 combo.  (Ignore the dance % since I set it to more or less the DDREX percentages with supernova DP values since my mat's left arrow is flaky)




Not sure how ties are resolved - first player wins, I suppose?  Though with enough patience I suppose someone could get four 7s...

I made an attempt but forgot to screenshot it, and the video is too big cause I didn't resize it in fraps prior to recording.  And, it was the exact same numbers as posted above (77 combo, 3 7's in the score)

I re-did it twice, got two vids.  One of them has a score of 7573xxxx, which doesn't meet the 7's req but is still cool, and the other has a score of 77078554 and 7 misses, which is seen here.  I figured video proof would be required for me since I like to use Cmods and I know enough about SM to make xmods look like Cmods in scoreeval lol.

The thing that sucks about red zone (that I guess I could have changed to get it right) would be that there wasn't any good combination I could do what I wanted.  After the first time I counted the steps and figured out a nice way of dividing them up (one step extra, unfortunately).

# Marvelous = 7*7*7+1 (the extra step)
# Perfect = (#Great)*(#Miss)
# Miss = 7
While still achieving only 77 combo

I was close enough without modifying the chart.  This had no real impact on any predictable score value so that's still random aside from ensuring that you play an 8 footer and plan on missing a few steps (whether it be for 77 combo or ensuring than an AAA [barring all marvelous = 80000000] does not equal 80000000).  Oh well, I tried =|

Apparently.

I've concluded its easier to full combo (or near) an 8 than to try doing so with a 9+ (mainly since 70 million is almost a given, which gives you one 7 for free)

8-footers are usually better, and got me close scores... but it was always only two 7's. Then I went to a harder song and managed to get a lower score but with the three 7's.  :kona:
