BM3 and KBM both had hold notes, yes, so it's not actually a DJMAX thing.

There also seems to be a mechanic called "backspin scratch" (probably with a corresponding "frontspin") that is very PANGYA

Scratching in a specific direction.

"Backspin scratch" is apparently just a scratch hold where you have to turn it the other way at the end.

The new mechanics are pretty intuitive, so maybe it's not a big deal.

But in general, we don't have IIDX in this part of the country... The only arcade I can reach with anything resembling a rhythm game whatsoever has a ITG2. It's not my favorite :(
