LET'S MAX TONIGHT

So, I was thinking... and wondering, like sometimes forum monkeys do...

When you play DDR, what songs do you usually play?

When I play DDR, usually I look for songs I haven't played in a long while, or some theme to match each other (for instance, songs that have 2 or less letters, songs that contain love), or I play a random all nonstop.  Today, I was pleased with the nonstop -- usually my nonstop contains at least one variant of AM-3P and crash, but this time I got R&P and so deep.

One of my acquaintances always would play only two songs -- Max300 and Let's Groove.  It made me smile.

I have over 1400 songs yet I probably play maybe 50 out of them, if that.  Not all in the same session.

Hmm, official or no?

I rarely play stuff outside the Anarchy folder anymore. These days a run contains Venus, Moon Bike, and DC Hardkore, pretty much for sure, the rest is variable, but usually involves at least two songs over 10.

I also usually stick with the Anarchy folder, but sometimes there's a song I want to play outside Anarchy. I just play what I like or want to hear at the time.

MAX GROOVE TONIGHT I like that one better.

For official versions, the songs I almost always play will vary depending on the version I'm on at the time. A session on Supernova will almost always result in Wookie Wookie, Xepher, Girl in a Daydream, Polovtsian Dances And Chorus, Flowers, and Honey Punch coming out. Mr Dabada almost always accompanies them at some point. Since that's the only version around in my area anymore...

For originals, there's almost nothing that I'm always bound to play when I start up Stepmania. I can't even say differently for the originals I put on my USB card for ITG2. I change those songs every two or three times I know I'm going to visit an arcade with the game.

Well, I guess probably official, since it's in the folder, but then again, topic and placement doesn't really matter too much.

Yes, Max Groove Tonight would work better.  Then you could make a sequel called Max Again Tonight.

As far as stepmania is concerned, since I play on fingers, I usually play a round of 10-15 songs, usually including Air, Dokudenpa, Marisa Stole the Precious Thing, 2-3 Ren originals, Reach's gigadelic (still can't get past 20 seconds in), High Speed Love Song, and Waxing and Wanding.

LET'S MAX, MAX, MAX AGAIN AND AGAIN TONIGHT

I wouldn't have anything like a fixed routine if it wasn't for the fact that above-named files are totally fun on pad.

This is very true.  I've found many an anarchy file to be dreamy.  AA was one of those that I enjoyed playing over and over.
